At Herts Paving we understand the importance of good drainage when installing a driveway or patio. We calculate the linear drain requirements, based on rainfall, the size of area being drained and the run-off capacity. We then install linear drainage and grates suitable for the requirements.
Rainwater collected by the drain has to discharge somewhere, most commonly into the surface water sewer system via a pipe union or a bottom outlet section.
We can also install soakaways where required, that allow surface water to be stored and gradually released back in to ground at a pace that the ground can handle instead of a sudden downpour from a storm. This is a simple way of dispersing surface and storm water in situations where connection to the SW system is impractical or unwarranted.
Sub soils such as sand, sandy loams, limestone, sandstone or chalk, are permeable and suitable for soakaways, whereas hard rocks, such as granite and heavy clay soils may mean a soakaway is not going to be feasible. We can determine the geology and advise the best course of action for your drainage.
The team were very professional. They worked hard and I was pleased with the work. I am particularly pleased with the new lawn and the fence which replaced my wrecked one. When they left, everything was neat and tidy.Anne, CM23 24 Jun 2015
An absolute joy to have at our home. The Herts Paving team were exceptional. Always on time, worked hard, polite and courteous and put in a fantastic driveway, front fence and a driveway gate. The finish is TOP CLASS. Nothing was to much trouble for the team. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is considering having any work completed on there property. Can't praise them highly enough.Gary, WD6 30 May 2015
